Chucky Cheese? No. Peter Piper Pizza? uh uh. Putt-Putt? Nope. This was a birthday party. I recently had the privilege of meeting David and his buddies up at Desert Mountain to photograph his 5th birthday party. They were greeted by 3 chefs at Constantino’s who would show them how to decorate cupcakes and make their own pizzas! As you can tell, these boys had no shortage of things to do at this party. Not only did they learn how to make their own food, but they were able to devour most of it by the end! This is David, the birthday boy!

If you have been following our photography and site for the last year or so, then you might have noticed a few changes to our website. I do feel the need to talk about all of the weird text that you will start to find on our pages as we continue to build our website. You’ll see phrases like “we love being Phoenix wedding photographers…” or look at the titles of each our blog posts (except this one). We usually type the couples’ names then “scottsdale wedding photographer” or “Phoenix wedding photography”. In order for people to find our site using google, which is one of our goals, we have to use the words Phoenix photographer Scottsdale photographers Arizona etc. Although it feels unnatural to write like this, it is an essential part of what we need to do to optimize our website. You’ll also find paragraphs of text at the bottom of most of our webpages, you can ignore those as well. Most don’t make any sense anyways! Just enjoy the pictures.

I have been wanting to get these photos up this entire month!  We had so much going on with the Bridal Fashion Debut just days after Ashley and Jeff’s wedding that the only post I have been able to make was the last one, from my iPhone on the lightrail last weekend!  You might see more posts from my phone just because it is so easy to do, I can write about anything, whenever I want. I can also add photos from my iPhone library.

I am so excited for our 2009 weddings!  We have recently booked some awesome couples that are going to be so much of fun to work with.  Thank you to all of the couples that we met at the Bridal show who have taken the time to get together with us over the last several weeks.  This was, by far, our most successful show, ever.

We met Ashley and Jeff last year around this time from the January 2008 bridal show (if I am remembering correctly) I think that they also knew a couple that we had just recently worked for.  They were so easy to work with, their engagement session was one of the first sessions that we had ever done in downtown Phoenix.  It’s now one of our favorite places to take photos.  They were married on January 3, 2009 at Stonebridge Manor which was so immaculate, we kept joking about how we thought we were in Disneyland!  Oh yeah, and one of Ashley’s bridesmaids is the super-talented Stephanie Fay from Tunnel Photography.  I wish I would have known this before the wedding, I would have put her to work for us…

I always have a hard time narrowing down the photos to post here, but hopefully this will give you a glimpse into their day.  Enjoy.

We just got on the light rail heading to the Rose and Crown. Just got done at Sonoran Brewery, ate dinner and had a couple of beers. I stole Jonce’s spicy brown mustard and he yelled at me. Later we are going to los tres palmas to play some bags. I wish that I lived a little closer to the train so I could use it more. It is so smooth…

We had the amazing opportunity to photograph Amy and J.J.’s wedding this past Sunday at the elegant Firesky Resort & Spa.  KT and her staff were such a pleasure to work with; they did an unbelievable job on this beautiful wedding.  This was probably the first wedding we have been to where everything happened on time, sometimes even a few minutes early!  This is truly unique because so many people are involved with weddings and the schedule gets easily delayed, usually at the beginning of the day.  Amy and J.J. were the most relaxed couples that we have ever photographed which made our job easier than it needed to be!  We had so much fun shooting this wedding that the day went by so fast for us.  Outstanding couple+amazing venue and staff+beautiful weather=incredible wedding photography.
