Valentine’s Day Engagement Photography session in Flagstaff, Arizona – Carie & Patrick
This was definitely the coldest I have been while taking pictures of anything! When we started, the sun was out and we actually got a little warm running all over the bunny slope. Carie and Pat are getting married in Phoenix (Peoria, actually) in April and wanted a unique engagement guestbook to use for their wedding so we made the drive up to the Arizona Snowbowl in Flagstaff to take their engagement photos on Valentine’s Day. Nate and I took turns coming up with ideas for how we would take photos. With snow and slopes, it definitely adds to the challenge! Normally all we have to do is figure out our camera settings and pay attention to how the couple looks, but on a slippery mountain, we needed to think ahead. We had to plan out each set of photos that we wanted to take but this made the day more fun for us! We seriously can’t believe how awesome it is that we get to work with the coolest couples ever! I am so excited for 2009 because of this. Pat had Carie’s snowboard custom designed with things that she loved. You can see the tire tread pattern on the bottom of the board behind her name – freakin’ sweet.
