Our time with Lindsey and Geoff started late Friday afternoon at St. Barnabas on the Desert, in Scottsdale near Paradise Valley for their wedding ceremony rehearsal. From there we headed to The Mission in old town Scottsdale for drinks and their delicious rehearsal dinner (thanks again for the spectacular food!). We had an absolute blast with this couple both days that we spent with them. The following morning we met them at Hotel Valley Ho where they were preparing for their big day. The suites at this Hotel are ridiculous. Lindsey’s room had a hot tub in the room, next to the bed, what the??

After everybody was dressed and looking good, we drove to St. Barnabas for their ceremony. From the sound of the church name we expected an old dark cathedral, but the church was very bright and colorful, perfect for photos! The church just had a million dollar pipe organ installed earlier this year, which was the backdrop for their wedding ceremony.

Their reception consisted of family formals near the entrance to the Desert Botanical Garden, a short 3 mile hike to the reception area, an hour of cocktails, some sunset photos, and a fabulous band from Kansas City that provided the entertainment for the evening. Their dinner was held outside and the weather couldn’t have been better. Saturday night was the first cool evening of the season! Phoenix Wedding Photographer and Scottsdale Photography

We were so excited to photograph Meg and Jeff’s wedding for so many reasons. This was our first wedding after taking some time off this summer and I think we actually started to miss going to weddings every weekend! Another reason, is that this couple is one of the sweetest couples you will ever meet or hear about. Their story is seriously inspring and their wedding day was a joy to be a part of. Meg (especially) has gone through so much this last year and her and Jeff have maintained amazing attitudes through the wedding planning process. We are so thrilled that they chose us to document their day.

I wish I had more time to describe Tonia and Carlo’s wedding. This was a truly unique wedding that Nate and I were privileged to be a part of. Thank you for allowing us to help you remember your wedding day! Also, thank you to Kelly and the amazing staff at the Four Seasons resort!

I have been so excited about posting these photos since I first started working on them. We just finished editing all of the photos from Bailey and Tyler’s wedding yesterday and I decided to pick some of my favorites before too much time passes by. This was our first wedding at The Sanctuary and it was amazing. Bailey and Tyler were married on November 21st at The Sanctuary on Camelback. Bailey did such a great job with all of the details and all of the planning really paid off. Their event was seamless and they were kind enough to take all of the formal photos before the wedding so we had plenty of time for everything after the wedding. Colleen and Brendan had a perfectly designed wedding. The details were immaculate and thought out. Nate, Tim Boyd and I (Tim S) had such a fantastic day with this amazing couple. Check out their wedding reception slideshow here –> four seasons wedding photographer. Not much to say other than this:

For those of you who have never been able to attend a wedding at the Four Seasons Troon North Resort, one of the options for your wedding reception is to have a cook that will prepare each meal specifically how your guests want. So you basically get to choose your ingredients and tell the chef what you want and he makes it. It was spectacular!

Thank you Colleen and Brendan for having an awesome wedding and for allowing us to be a part of it. We also want to thank you for the amazing food, drinks, and deserts that we were able to share in too!

Lyndsey & Bryan had a gorgeous wedding on October 17, 2009 and we were privileged to document their special day. There are some places that we get to photograph weddings that aren’t so fun, and then there are some that are really spectacular. Ancala in Scottsdale is definitely on of the fun places to photograph weddings. The location, specifically Dawn and her amazing staff, make it easy to take amazing photographs of couples on their wedding day [even when the sprinklers on the driving range almost soak the bride and groom!]. We get to take the bride and groom out where we have incredible views of the sunset and desert landscape. Ancala is located in North Scottsdale and is elevated above most of the valley so the views from there are really great. Lyndsey and Bryan planned an amazing wedding and we were so grateful to be a part of their day. This has been one of the busiest 2 months Visionyard has ever had. We’ll be sharing some of our favorite wedding photos from the last 10 weddings and won’t be saying much more than the simple specifics of each event. I will say this, the last 2 months have been crazy and we work for the coolest couples ever. We have some more great weddings coming up before the end of the year and can’t wait to show everyone more of our wedding photography examples. Paula and Jesse were married at Ancala Country Club on September 26 in Scottsdale, AZ. Here are a few of our favorite pictures from their wedding:

Nate and I (Tim S) photographed a wedding at Montelucia Resort for the first time yesterday. It is one of the newest resorts in Scottsdale, actually Paradise Valley, and is a picture perfect location for a wedding and reception. There is a beautiful chapel and bride’s room that was designed specifically for weddings. Other than the 108 degree weather, their day couldn’t have been any better. Christina and Dan are such a great couple and because everyone was so relaxed, we were able to capture some great moments throughout their day. (By the way, if you are planning a wedding in this area during June, July or August, think about hiring someone to follow you around with a portable air conditioner to keep you cool.) Luckily, they were handing out cooled, wet cloths for everyone to put on their faces and necks – awesome. There is an amazing spa at Montelucia where we stopped for a few photos of the couple. We walked up the huge spiral staircase, taking pictures of them along the way, finishing on the top where Nate took the crazy photo with the cool flare. We can’t wait to shoot another wedding at this sweet venue.
